KORN Frontman Cancels Solo Dates
April 4, 2008KORN frontman Jonathan Davis has scrapped a number of dates on his previously announced "Alone I Play" European tour in May/June, reportedly due to "personal reasons." Cancelled shows include those in Stockholm (Sweden),Belgium, France, and most of the UK leg of the tour, which was scheduled to kick off late May.
For his recent U.S. solo tour, Jonathan Davis drew from a wide variety of material, including a number of selections that Davis composed for the soundtrack of the movie "Queen of the Damned", along with obscure KORN tracks and selected cover tunes. Many of the songs had never been performed live before. Davis took out a five-piece band that included current KORN touring guitarist Shane Gibson and the band's touring keyboardist, Zac Baird.
Davis recorded a live CD/DVD at a private show for friends and family on November 8, 2007.
Jonathan Davis took part in a three-song acoustic performance on the "Kevin & Bean" morning show on the Los Angeles radio station KROQ on November 7, 2007. Watch some of the performance footage below.
